Prize giving
Please note:
- The cut-off time is 13h15
- No helmet, no ride.
- Roads are open to traffic. Road rules apply. Please keep left!
Age restrictions per distance:
- 58km – Participants need to be at least 15 years of age
- 70km – Participants needs to be at least 19 years of age
- E-bikes – Participants needs to be at least 19 years of age
- A riders’ age is determined by the age they will be on 31 Dec of this year.
- E-bikes may enter either the 70km or 58km race.
Shuttle Service
- Pre / Post race shuttle (for you and your bike) : R300
- Pre race shuttle (departs from Port Alfred Country Club to the start at 06h00)
- Post race shuttle (departs from Port Alfred Country Club to Buco Grahamstown at 13h00).
Prizes
- Prize money will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in the 70km and 58km gravel / MTB race
- Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in the 70km and 58km E-bike race.
- All participants will be entered into the lucky draw.
Prize Money
- The first 3 male and female riders in the 70km gravel / MTB race will win prize money as follows:
- R1000
- R600
- R300
- The first 3 male and female riders in the 58km gravel / MTB race will win prize money as follows:
- R500
- R300
- R200
Late entries
Late entries are available at registration however we cannot guarantee goody-bags for late entrants. A late entry fee of R70 per rider applies.
E-bikes

All e-bike riders are automatically entered into the lucky draws.

In order to participate in the E-bike race, riders need to be 19+ years (as of 31 Decemeber of this year)
Water points

Water & nutrition will be available at the waterpoints on route
Emergencies
- The emergency contact number is printed on the front of your number board.
- In case of emergencies, take note of where you are on the route (ie near which water point, turn-off, distance etc).
Cut-off time
- The cut-off time is 13h15
- All riders still on the course will be required to return with the sweep vehicle.
- The sweep vehicle will follow behind the last riders collecting anyone unable to continue.
- Try to get to a water point, if you can, to wait.

- Final results will be posted online after the event on Results

CSA Compliance
- G2C is a CSA sanctioned event and will be run according to CSA rules.
- G2C is sanctioned as a gravel road race however mountain bikes and e-bikes are welcome.
